Pho for 2
Pho is a comforting Vietnamese noodle soup with a rich, aromatic broth infused with warm spices, tender slices of beef, and fresh herbs. Adding Pikora's Bestia will make a vibrant, slurp-worthy dish that’s both soothing and packed with bold flavors
Ingredients:
For the broth:
- 2 liters of water
- Pikora beef broth (approximately four sachets)
- 20g fish sauce
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 star anise
To build the soup:
- 100g rice noodles
- 100g raw beef (tenderloin or flank steak)
- Thai Basil(a handful)
- Cilantro
- Mint
- Your favorite chile (Fresno or Serrano works!)
- A couple lime wedges
- Hoisin sauce (for serving)
- Sriracha (for serving)
Instructions:
- Heat the water in a pot and add Pikora beef broth, fish sauce, cinnamon, star anise, and cloves.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions.
- Once the noodles are ready, divide them into serving bowls and pour the broth over them.
- Slice the beef very thinly and add it to the bowls.
- Serve the pho with fresh herbs, lime wedges, chilies, and sauces. Our favorite combo is Sriracha and Hoisin!
